I don't really like Billy's face in the first panel. It just doesn't show enough emotion. That's a big problem I have with him -- Since he's got no arms, I have to explain his feelings through facial expressions. The problem is, my facial expressions are never as poignant as I want them to be. Perhaps it's because their eyes are right next to their mouths.
I think this strip is all right though. I recall it was partly inspired by Sherman's Lagoon. Sherman's Lagoon has this sort of subtle style of humor that I can't explain but I really like, and I guess I tried my own version of it here. It ain't perfect, but I'd say it worked.
