This one is clearly inspired by Calvin and Hobbes. There's one Sunday strip (which happens to be one of my favorite strips of them all) that is essentially the same thing as this. You can see the strip here. I tried to make this one my own, but it's more of a Calvin to me.

I really think I've become better at choosing colors aesthetically. Panels 9, 15 and 17 look especially nice to me.

I like this one. I really feel the way Harley does, but obviously there's a price you pay without intelligence.
Also, I noticed only just now that Harley's thought bubble in the last panel has no mini-bubbles connecting it to Harley's head. Sigh. . . How do I not see these things?!

Sheesh. That tree trunk is way too big in proportion to its head of leaves. Otherwise this strip is fine, though.

Hey guys. I'm back.

I'm not really sure if this joke made sense. I was trying to say that doing nothing indoors isn't really more rewarding than doing nothing outdoors. I don't personally think that way, so this is more of a joke for Billy-like people.

It's a double-prank! I think this one is a lot like the old Spy vs. Spy strips.

Hey everybody. I'm going to be out of town for the next week, so I won't be able to post then. See ya soon!

On a side note, is it seriously July 19th already?! Summer's about a third over! Oh no! Run!

It was pretty neat to try drawing everything from Billy's point of view. I'm not sure I got it right, but it makes me want to do it more!

It's actually amazing how many different lives are being experienced right now, and each one is unique. I like this one because I think it got its point across.

Billy experiments with his budding art skills. Don't worry about what Pete thinks, Billy. You're just unappreciated in your time.

I'm actually very proud of how the colors turned out in this one. I was trying to make them more aesthetically pleasing, and I think it worked here. Let me know what you think!

Billy and Harley's relationship is pretty clear to me by now. Billy won't do anything if Harley tells him to. He can be seen outside a lot having fun by himself, but if Harley makes him go outside, he'll make it a living nightmare for him. Despite this, Harley will always keep trying to make him do what he wants.

This strip is set on a staircase, which might be weird because I've never really shown a staircase in the strip before. But I actually have, once, in this old and very bad Billy strip. I like to carry things over in the strip, even if they're tiny things no one in their right mind would notice. Drawing this made me want to set more strips on that staircase.

I think this is funny. I just was walking around one day and thought, "Wait a minute. . . Harley rhymes with gnarly!" and I created this strip. I usually don't like Billy to acknowledge the fact that he's a popsicle, e.g. Billy the Chilly, but I found that it was the only suitable thing that rhymes.

Dang. This one makes me look like a huge introvert. I guess I am, really.

Something told me to give Harley a striped shirt when I drew him. I think that was a good choice. Unlike in other comic strips, in Billy the Pop, Harley always wears different clothes, as you can see if you look at their colors in the colored strips. But that can be hard to show during the non-colored ones, so I tried to make it more visible in this one.

As I've said before, I tend to go a little overboard with the shading sometimes. This is one of those times. There's a whole lot of lines here.

Sadly, today's my last day in Georgia. But tomorrow it'll be the 4th of July! So happy Independence Day, everybody!

I like this one. It reminds me of the comic Pearls Before Swine, probably because Rat often beats things with bats.

Sheesh, the year is already halfway over? Dang!

I was planning for this strip to be set in a music store, since there's never been a piano shown in their house before in the strip. But I decided to leave the background empty because the atmosphere wasn't right. So is it set in a music store? Did Harley buy a new piano? I'll let you decide.
On this note, I'd like to mention that music is a huge part of the drawing process for me. I'm almost always listening to something whilst I create these strips. In a small way, this one's a commemoration to that.
