It is a rather fascinating question. Who decided that Humpty Dumpty was an egg, of all things? Why not a glass jar, or something else that would break when it had a "great fall?"

Good ol' Pete. Mischievous ol' Billy. That's it for this series. See ya in two more days!

September 26th, 2014

For those just tuning in to the story: Billy and them have been fossil hunting, and while Harley and Pete have found nice interesting fossils, Billy's found nothing but some rocks. Poor Billy. I suppose there's a lesson in this, kids - Don't spend the whole time complaining and not listening or you won't be able to find any fossils and you can't talk about them with your friends and instead you'll be interrupting the conversation with inappropriately loud sighs.
. . . I'm pretty bad at lessons.

September 24th, 2014

After that brief colored-strip interruption, here's more of the fossil hunting storyline. For those just tuning in: Harley is taking Billy and Pete along to go fossil hunting. And it looks like Pete is doing really well! Billy. . . not so much. But rocks are good! Kinda! Sort of.

As we say goodbye to our last moments of summer, here is a nice commemoration strip. Goodbye, summer.

It is now officially fall.

September 20th, 2014

No Calvin and Hobbes inspiration here. Nope. Not a bit.

(I'm being sarcastic.)

Disclaimer: the opinions expressed by my cartoon characters are fictional and not necessarily those of the cartoonist. I think paleontology would be an awesome job, and it does have a point. Sorry if I offended any paleontologists.

September 16th, 2014

For those just tuning in to the story: Billy, Harley and Pete are going fossil hunting. Billy is obviously not having a great time. And neither is Harley.
I think I've invented a new expressive mechanic in comic strips here. You can use that wavy underline under words when your character is being sarcastic.

September 14th, 2014

For those just tuning in to the story: The gang is going on a fossil-hunting trip! Billy, as with most things, doesn't care for it. Now, Harley is teaching Billy how to fossil hunt. Billy doesn't care for that, either.

September 10th, 2014

Thus begins a new storyline in Billy the Pop! Just a warning; I only vaguely know how to fossil hunt, so any of you paleontologists that notice something off, feel free to tell me about it. I have, however, looked it up online, so my depiction in this series is pretty accurate.

September 8th, 2014

Ah, board games. It seems like half the fun is the arguments that ensue. As with basically all of my strips, this one is inspired by Calvin and Hobbes.

I used to enjoy smushing all of these little clumps of worm poop with my foot when I was younger. Don't get weirded out. It's fun.

September 4th, 2014

Ahh, color-by-numbers. I remember doing those things. It was pretty fun, actually. And I, for one, followed the rules on the page.
