It's the last day of August,

Which means that August is ending.

Which means that summer is ending.

Which means that school is starting soon.

I like this one.

Sometimes I really regret designing a main character with no arms. Without them, most gestures can't me made, and I have to resort to facial expressions, which really don't capture feeling as much. But I think I did a pretty good job here.

Also, I hate walking into spider webs. I'm not the only webcomic artist that does: http://theoatmeal.com/blog/cobwebs

A rather inspirational speech from Billy today. I don't necessarily feel the way Billy does; I just had the idea for the strip and wrote it accordingly.
The color in this strip is a bit off. The colors are much brighter in the lower row of panels than in the top row. I guess this doesn't matter that much, but it was bothering me.
Did anyone notice how the cloud of space dust in panel three becomes a bush in panel four? Gosh, I'm clever.

I like this one. I don't know about you, but whenever I'm helping out with yardwork I feel that everything I'm doing out there is utterly pointless. Billy is me here.

Today I'm leaving the town of Brooklin, Maine to head back home. I hate leaving; the place is a wonderful one to spend time in. It feels like time went super-fast while I have been up here. I really hate leaving, though, because it means school starts up again in a week. And time sure doesn't go super-fast there.

Thanks to Jody Thomas, who gave me another great shoutout! These things really help.

I find it kind of funny that Harley says, "Don't make me force you" in the second panel, since forcing Billy is basically what he's doing at the moment he says that.
Also, Billy is drawing some sort of bug-eyed weirdo person in the dirt in the last panel. A begrudged caricature of Harley, perhaps?

I personally like this one, too.
Thanks so much to Emily Lincoln for giving me a nice big shoutout on Facebook! Seriously, I can't describe how grateful I am for that.

I kind of like Billy and Pete's language in the last panel. Something about the rhythm of their words pleases me. It's actually harder to think up good-sounding gibberish than one might think.

Aww. Poor Pete.

Hey guys! I'm trying to gain publicity on this blog, so could you do me a huge favor and spread the word about Billy the Pop? If you know anyone with an interest in comics or webcomics, feel free to tell them! I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Well, here I am! I'm posting from Brooklin, Maine. It's really great here. My family and I stay in a house just a short walk from a harbor. There is always so much to see and it's just a wonderful place to be. Hope you enjoy today's strip.

August 9th, 2014

My family and I are driving up to Maine today! It'll take fourteen hours of driving, over two days, but it will all be worth it. It's a really great place up there. I'll be posting for the whole time we're there, so don't worry!
I remember playing tag like this. It really was dumb.

I don't have much to say about the strip today, but I will tell you that I have added 'Next Post' and 'Previous Post' buttons. They are under the advertisement directly under the post.

This poem actually came from my life. In an extra English assignment, I was told to make a poem with a metaphor. Having no good ideas, I scrambled up this little ditty. The day that I read my poem aloud to the class got me some good laughs from the other kids, but I'm sure my teacher wasn't impressed.

Dang. This one really taxed my artistic skill. Made me want to do it more often.

I'm not very well-informed on this kind of political stuff, but I can tell it's not the type Billy would expect of a rulership.

Also, this is Billy the Pop's 100th post! Huzzah!

Next Comic, Last Comic and Home links are up here!
