December 31st, 2017

This strip was supposed to come out on Christmas, but I dropped the ball on that one. Speaking of dropping the ball, Happy New Year, everybody! This marks a whopping four years of posting Billy the Pop! Thanks to you all for your support, and let's hope 2018 is another good year for Billy and the gang!

That being said, I'm going to be taking a short break from posting comics in January. I've had much more to do recently, and it's made it harder for me to draw Billy strips, so my supply if strips to post has slowly dwindled down over the year. I need a little time to draw more strips without worrying about time. I'm sorry to leave you guys, but the break shouldn't last longer than a month, so I hope you don't mind waiting, and I hope you all do well this January! Happy New Year!

December 27th, 2017

2017 is winding to a close. It's hard to say whether this year was crazier than last year; both have been pretty wacky. Maybe things will mellow out in 2018. Maybe. Perhaps.

December 25th, 2017

Merry Christmas, everybody! Hope your day is full of cheer, even if you don't observe Christmas.
Sorry this strip isn't very Christmasy, but don't worry; the next colored strip will be, even though it'll be a bit late for Christmas by then. Oh well.

December 23rd, 2017

I think this fact of life is super interesting. It's crazy that our whole perception of time is partly based on our size. It would be cool to live a day in a fly's shoes and see how much slower people move.

It's gettin' close to Christmas! Hope your holiday spirits are high.

December 21st, 2017

I like this one. I think Billy's monologue in the second panel turned out well, which is not how I usually feel about the monologues I write.

December 19th, 2017

This one could have been written a little better, but I do think the idea of a "theory of everything" is pretty awesome. To think that the whole universe could be explained by one equation is very satisfying, but I wonder whether or not science will ever figure it out.

December 17th, 2017

I'm not quite this audible when I play video games, but my mind is just as vehement.

December 15th, 2017

This strip doesn't necessarily reflect my philosophy on work and satisfaction. Of course, doing productive tasks is ultimately more rewarding in the long run, but sometimes, hard work just can't hold a candle to good ol' dumb ol' entertainment.

December 13th, 2017

I think it's interesting that there are so many video clips online of little snippets of people's lives. There are tons of moments that would have otherwise been forgotten that are immortalized and free for the viewing. They're not necessarily interesting to watch, but just the fact that they're out there, waiting to be seen, is fascinating.

December 11th, 2017

There is many a day where I feel like Billy. But I like to think I'm better at motivating myself than he is.

December 9th, 2017

This is the way it is for me most of the time. The weather outside seems to directly impact the way I feel that day.

December 7th, 2017

I do think that media's presence has a negative effect on people to an extent, but personally, I don't think it makes the rest of life any less fascinating. In fact, it makes me appreciate life experiences even more.

December 5th, 2017

Has science gone too far?

Man, we're already at the last month of 2017. This has been one crazy year, hasn't it?

November 29th, 2017

I thought it would be interesting to have Pete start a stand, seeing as Billy has already had many business ventures over the years.

Sorry guys, no posting over the weekend because I'll be out of town. Sorry that my posting schedule has been spotty recently; this year has been rather eventful, and things can get in the way of my posting these. I'm doing my best though!

November 27th, 2017

This strip would have been more appropriate around Halloween time, but I drew it a bit too late for that. There's a cool little pink/purple color scheme going on here.

November 25th, 2017

Happy late Thanksgiving, everybody (I meant to post on Thanksgiving day but there was too much going on, sorry about that)! Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving feast and/or made good memories with family and friends.

November 19th, 2017

Thus concludes this Billy series. It was a real emotional rollercoaster, with ups and downs, mystery and character development.
Okay, maybe not, but at least I had fun writing it. See y'all in the next one!

November 15th, 2017

So Billy's plan succeeded after all! Although not exactly in the way he thought it would.

November 11th, 2017

We now return to your regularly scheduled storyline. For those just tuning in, Billy has sent Harley and Pete on a hunt to find him. But unbeknownst to them (or at least, the idea was for it to be unbeknownst), it's all just an elaborate prank. Harley and Pete caught onto it pretty quick, though.

November 9th, 2017

This strip pretty much summarizes the whole relationship mechanic between Billy and Harley. Who's to say who's really in the right?

November 7th, 2017

Surprise, surprise! It was a prank after all! But Billy hasn't yet enacted it. Will Harley and Pete foil Billy's plans? Or will Billy's genius plot follow through? Find out soon!

November 5th, 2017

Oh look! The magazine lettering is back! I guess I wasn't going to give up after all.

November 1st, 2017

For those just tuning in, Billy has been hiding clues around the house so Pete and Harley can find him? But why?

I kind of did a joke about Billy's rhyming twice in a row, with this strip in the last. I do apologize about that.

October 30th, 2017

As you can see, I was tired of drawing cut-up magazine letters at this point, so I just had Harley read it aloud in this strip. It's not laziness, it's efficiency.

Also, hope you have a very spooky Halloween!

October 28th, 2017

I underestimated how annoying it would be to draw cut-up magazine letters. It ended up taking a considerably long time, more time than I would usually spend for a detail like this, but it was kind of essential to the joke in this case.

October 26th, 2017

This is the first strip in yet another fantastic Billy series! Where could Billy be? What could he be doing? Stick around and find out!

October 24th, 2017

All those galaxies in the middle panel took quite a long time to draw. But I think the end result turned out looking rather nice.

Personally, I believe that life of some sort has to exist somewhere else in the universe. Statistically, it would be EXTREMELY unlikely that only one planet in the whole universe could harbor life. Honestly, I don't know which would be cooler: if we're the only ones out there, or if we're just one of millions of alien civilizations.

October 22nd, 2017

This strip is a bit less relevant now, as most of the mosquitoes have died (where I live, at least). That's because I drew this back in August, not thinking of how topical it would be at the time I posted it. But the joke still works, at least.

October 18th, 2017

We have a way of always finding something to worry about, even if it's nothing.

October 16th, 2017

The timing in this strip is a bit awkward, but I'm pretty proud of how it looks.

October 14th, 2017

Originally, Billy said "modern engineering" in the second panel, but then I realized I used the exact same phrase in the very first colored Billy strip, so I changed it to "automation." No one will know, right?

October 12th, 2017

Happy National Billy Day, everybody! I want to take this time to thank you all for making this little corner of the Internet what it is now. I appreciate your continued support and words of encouragement.
Feel free to leave comments on this website! I'd like to interact with you all more. If you have any criticism, suggestions or questions I'd be happy to respond!

Also, I'm pretty sure the sound "throw" does not occur when you throw things in real life.

October 10th, 2017

This one's very similar to a certain Calvin and Hobbes strip. Often I come up with an idea and don't realize how close it is to a Calvin strip it is until I've finished writing it, at which point I don't want to give up the idea. I did try to make it different from the Calvin strip (for example, in Calvin the story rhymes and is drawn crudely by Calvin, and I made sure not to do either of those things here).

Also, October 12 is coming up! You know what that is, don't you? That's right, it's National Billy Day! Oh, you didn't know that? …Eh, I can't blame you.

October 8th, 2017

That's all for this series-type-thing of phone strips. I hope you enjoyed them. If you didn't, well… I don't know what to tell ya.

October 4th, 2017

What if the person calling was actually an alien?? Now there's a thought.

October 2nd, 2017

I can't think of anything to say about this one, but if there's anything you want to know, feel free to ask me a question in the comments if you so wish.

September 26th, 2017

This is the start of a series-type-thing. This and the next five strips will all feature Billy prank-answering phone calls. So hope you enjoy that!

Originally, Billy's line in the last panel was "stuck-up jerk" instead of "self-centered jerk." I didn't think that was much of a punchline, so I changed it to what it is now, to add irony since Billy was the one being self-centered. It barely adds anything to the joke, but it's better than before.

September 24th, 2017

With all the work being done on our house, I started thinking about what Billy's idea of a perfect house would be, and this strip came to be.

September 22nd, 2017

I don't think I even knew what I was talking about when I wrote this one.

September 20th, 2017

Hey y'all! Sorry I haven't been posting recently. There's been a lot of work being done on our house for the last few months, so that's why my posting has been kinda on-and-off for a while. I will try my best not to disappear unannounced again, though.

In other news, summer is about to officially end. Bye, summer!

September 12th, 2017

It was harder than I'd thought to draw the lighting on a trash bag. I think it looks pretty cool in the last panel, though.

September 6th, 2017

I like the way Billy's ghost costume looks. I can imagine it bobbing up and down as he moves through the house, and that's kind of funny to me.

September 4th, 2017

Well, this is my last day of summer before school starts. This isn't the most fitting strip for the day, but that's just how it goes. Time for another crazy year of assignments, projects, testing, stress and, hopefully, fun. I'm gonna miss this summer.

September 2nd, 2017

Summer's almost over once again. It never seems long enough, does it?

I think the last panel of this strip is my favorite use of color that I've ever done in Billy the Pop.
