This and the next week or two of strips were drawn in California last Christmas. Stay tuned, because next up is another action-packed Billy storyline!
The panel layout in this strip was somewhat inspired by the comic strip Krazy Kat, which I had recently been reading. It's a very interesting strip, if you want to look it up.
As for subject matter, I wanted a strip that focused on Pete's inner thoughts, and not so much on Harley or Billy's antics. Pete seems like a pretty underdeveloped personality to me so I was trying to give him more of the spotlight for a change.

This one was written at a point where I had a whole lot of schoolwork and was feeling stressed out. Pete's line in the second panel is a good philosophy in life, I think.

Heeeeyy I'm back. How's your spring going?
Not much to say about this particular strip. I'm not sure whether it's funny or not.

Dear God. I just realized this is practically an exact replica of a Calvin and Hobbes joke. Please pardon me on that one.
Hey everyone! Spring is HERE! YES!! Unfortunately, I'm going to be out on spring break for the next five days, so we probably won't see a strip until the weekend. But I hope you have a great spring break, and a great spring in general!
Also, Billy has officially passed 20,000 views! Hurray!

I think this one's funny.
Sometimes, I like to make the shading of a panel correspond with whatever's going on thematically in the strip. For example, the shading in panel three is composed of squares and rectangles, which fits in with the pixel-y, robotic theme going on. I think that gives the strip a whole extra level of meaning while simultaneously being visually pleasing.

This one was pretty tricky to set up. I wanted a strip where it alternated between Harley and Billy (don't ask me why; sometimes I just have an idea that I go with for no reason), but it was difficult to find a scenario in which that would make sense. So I decided to add Pete to the mix, to be delivering their messages to each other. That brought it all together, so the strip kinda blossomed from there.

There is a much older Billy strip with basically the same concept. I'll give you some extra bonus Billy points if you can find it.
Billy would sure make an awful receptionist, huh?

This one really isn't funny. I don't even know, man.
That silhouette thing going on in the second panel is something I haven't done for a while in the strip. Perhaps I should do it more; it adds a little variety to the visuals.

If it seems like there's some sort of symbolism in this strip, there's not. I just thought it would make a funny joke.

This one would have been funnier if it had been posted on Valentine's Day. But sadly,
it came about a month late. Oh well.
