This is a short break from the storyline for a colored strip.
The idea for this one came about when I noticed I'd drawn a lot of strips set during sunset, but I'd never tried one set during a sunrise. It was interesting to make the colors look like a sunrise and see how different they are from sunset colors. I don't know how well it works, but it was fun to try.
Will Billy come back home? Will he find a new place to live? Will Harley ever get his wallet back? The answers to these questions and more. . . after the break!

This one was a ton of fun to draw and to color. It was a great experiment to mess with weird angles, bright colors, dark shadows and interesting body positions. I think it turned out pretty awesome!
Here's part two of the two-part mini-series where Billy is a ninja. Again, not sure if the whole mini-series idea worked, but it was interesting to draw.
This strip and the next one were sort of an experiment to do a mini-series, as in a story that's only two strips long. I don't know if it really works, but hey, doesn't hurt to try something new.
The same can be said about pretty much anything in nature. For example, think of how weird hands are. What's with these bendable flesh-sticks with bones in them? Why do they have hard keratin plates on the ends of them? And we use them to hold things?? WHAT?
I think this is pretty funny.
