I drew this during the Smudge Comic Arts Expo several months ago, at my little table. This was how I thought my sales were going to go. But, as it turned out, I sold a whole bunch of stuff that day, and it was all great. Dang, it's already July 30th?! This summer is going by way too fast in my opinion. Update: Spelling error. Fixed it.
Let's go over the Pros and Cons of today's strip: Pros: -Look at that staggering lens flare in the first panel. I drew that! -I personally like panels 3 and 4. -I also personally like that little barf-colored lizard in panel 5. Cons: -That is one poorly drawn scorpion-fish in the fifth panel. -Billy's speech is a bit weird. It starts out telling the story of evolution, but ends out with him being the cosmic god of everything. It just somehow took an odd turn. What do you think, though? Comment about it!
This strip isn't as much of a joke-type one; it was more for just the sake of drawing. I hope you think it's okay. I'm going to be away for the next few days, so I won't be posting for a little while. See you all on Saturday!
Kind of a dumb joke, but whatever... More importantly, yesterday I got a dog! Her name is Coco and she is an amazing five-month-old pug. I could not have asked for a better dog, especially since pugs are my favorite breed.
Summer truly is awesome. I hope yours is going as well as mine! I kind of like how the sixth panel looks; the one with Harley's shadow over Billy and Pete. Also, how do a turtle and a popsicle outrun a person? Well, Harley catches them eventually.
That's a pug in the first panel. Pugs are awesome and I wanted to draw one in the strip, so I built a joke around it. This was my first time drawing one, though, so it turned out a little too realistic for my comic strip. Nowadays I can draw a much better cartoon pug.
This one doesn't have a very understandable joke. The idea was that Billy was supposed to run a Five-K today, and really doesn't want to. Now you may read the strip with the proper context. Let me just say that I've never run a Five-K before. I guess I probably should.
